How Session 9 and 5 are Related
In essence, Session 9 Renewing the Mind is one very practical way in which we encounter Grace (Session 5) which includes everything that God does for us that we cannot do for ourselves.
Inner healing through God's truth/insight/revelation is a direct experience of Grace.
Another way to look at this is that the Diagram in the Workbook on page 115 of Improper Focus is really a picture of legalism in action. And the Diagram on page 117 of Proper Focus is a picture of Grace at work to write God's laws on our heart and mind.
